Creality Cloud V4.5 is here! This update released a new feature 3D photo-scan. 3D photo-scan is a photogrammetry technology that uses photos taken from different angles to create a 3D digital image. The app provides you to capture anything from an object via your phone. Let’s read on to find out how this new feature works.

Step 1

Download or update your Creality Cloud app to V4.5 or later.

Step 2

Place an object to stand somewhere flat where you can walk around it. Make sure you use bright light that spreads equally around your object. In addition, when you 3D scan an object, be aware of differentiating it from its background.

Step 3

In the app, navigate to Photoscan on the homepage. Creality Cloud Photoscan provides you with two types of camera modes for photographing, which are Standard Mode and Free Mode. Standard Mode is recommended for beginners.

Step 4

To create an integral 3D object, you need to take photos of the object from different perspectives. The object is divided into three parts for capturing, the bottom part, the middle part, and the top part. Each part needs to be photographed around the object until all angles are captured.

Step 5

You can preview photos that have been taken and retake them if needed. If everything looks perfect, you can upload the photos you took.

Step 6

After a few minutes of waiting, you will get the final 3D model.
