Yesterday I posted a topic: CR/BL Touch... Is It Really Worth It?

We received a lot of great responses. Now I'm going to show you some representative comments. Let's check it out!

@ComputerFix: I sometimes change print surfaces, depending on what material I am printing with. So, for me, not having to readjust z stop, and relevel each time is a big time saver. There is no substitute for a good level bed, even with a leveling sensor. But the use of the CR-touch does make a positive difference.

@Beastman21: I prefer manual leveling EXCEPT on the ender 5 PLUS. With smaller beds it is very easy to get right manually, on the HUGE print bed of the 5+ I usually do an initial grid measurement then level manually, then another grid measurement. Manual is better for smaller beds, bl/cr touch is great for bigger beds, at least in my opinion.

@JAD3D PRINTS: I love both the BL and CR Touch. Combined with manual leveling, the extra sensors just really make the prints come out perfect in that the bed is always leveled. the BL touch occasionally has issues where the probe will bend or the sensor will not register a touch. a quick turn off and turn back on fixes the issue. all my printers have BL/CR Touch.

@user7486518524: I guess it all depends on your firmware configuration. A nice amount of test points and a good Z compensation makes it a nice improvement. But this is all something that is not very well implemented in most printers and makes a lot of people hate it.

@Michael Baker: I use cr touch, I installed it around 9 months ago, so glad I did as it has given me repeated reliability with my prints, the only issues I now tend to get are clogs ( occasionally). I have trimmed the bed Ender 3v2, it sits on silicone 'springs', it can be very difficult to remove prints from the bed, as the bed is very firm it luckily doesn't move however I still have the assurances it's good.

@Röschu Wiedmer: I have a BL Touch Installed on my Ender 3v2. I love it for running print after print without manual Leveling the Bed every time. If the offset gets too big I level the bed manually again so the printer doesn't have to correct too much. Set up can be a little painful because the Firmware isn't well organized. But if you take some time you can do it. There are also YouTube videos on how to do it.

@JSAviles1: One of the many reasons I bought a CR-6 SE as my first 3D Printer was the automatic bed leveler. I truly believe it was one of the main reasons my very first print was successful so it's easy for me to say a CR/BL Touch is really worth it. It saves you from the tedious (and sometimes complicated and/or nerve-wracking) task of manually leveling your bed, even more so for a newbie like me.
