Yesterday I posted a topic: Which Creality printer would you advise a newbie to use? Why?

We received a lot of great responses. Now I'm going to show you some representative comments. Let's check it out!

@UdtaPunjabi: I highly recommend CR10Max, as its big sized, i.e. 450mm x 450mm x 470mm, and is 24v dc powered.. makes it very easy to upgrade to a Mosquito Magnum with Bondtech DDXv3 direct drive retractor.. and it is ready to use screen firmware + mainboard firmware available too. I mean, if you take this path, you will fall short of no expectations.. and 3D printing is very fast.

@Jack Thornton: I'll hope the group saying Ender 3. The specific model is more of a personal choice based on availability (local or ordered), budget, and - to a lesser extent - differentiating features. Some printers are faster or require less running out of the box but at an increased cost. The Ender 3 line is the affordable way to start with good results

@Skipper_07: For a beginner, I would recommend the Ender 3 V2. Very affordable in price, very easy to maintain and above all very reliable. online there are many parts to customize and optimize your V2 and also make improvements not only aesthetic but also functional. then slowly after starting to learn there is the possibility to buy truly exceptional upgrades such as the touch.

@Jeff Cheatham: For a beginner, I would highly encourage an Ender 3... it's a simple printer that works well and doesn't cost much. Oh, and it can be upgraded easily, so if they become proficient with it, they can add some upgrades for cheap and make it even better. After that, we'll, the sky is the limit.

@blackiechain92: Definitely the ender 3 pro with auto bed level it gives you the full package and the best part that I love is it's very affordable as well with a much bigger print bed than others in its price range so bigger prints would be easier to achieve I recommend getting all metal hot end with tempered glass bed and a steel nozzle and the best thing I love about it is that it's fairly cheap and easy to upgrade.

@ComputerFix: I was a newbie last year when I bought an Ender 3 Pro. I've learned a lot. Not I print with PLA, PETG, and ABS. Even sold a few small items. I would say, as far as the Ender series goes, it's hard to go wrong. No matter your choice.

@Mick Baker: I have only got experience with a 3v2, it is my first printer, I purchased this one as it seemed to fulfill my needs ( I looked at larger bed sizes, etc but from my one year's experience a larger size is unnecessary), there is a learning curve but this is made easier if you can look closely at an issue and identify the problem, a bit of research and hey presto, job sorted.

@Munkyrocker: Between my Ender 3 V2 and the CR-10 Smart, if I had to go back and buy just one. I would go with my CR-10 Smart. It’s a little bit more expensive but your print space and the overall build are way more efficient. Dual Z, Wi-Fi built-in, Auto bed leveling, and all you really need to buy otherwise is a camera that it’s already built for and you have total control from your phone.

@bugsy: Ender 3 v2 is the perfect machine for newbies. Unlike the Ender 3 pro, it’s a little more user-friendly and easier to use, although it is a little less modifiable. The auto bed leveling is an absolutely necessary upgrade as is the extruder upgrade (and not necessarily a direct drive) but just sometimes replaces the stock plastic one. Prefer the glass bed for beginners.

@Will Kiel: I'm a newbie. I only got it the other day. I love my Ender-3 S1. it is easy to use, there are loads of guides. the print bed is easy to stick into. It can be upgraded to the pro version very easily. So if you want to print other materials etc. you can. and you don't need to pay for the LED light strip, just turn on the light in the room. It will pay for itself within a year easily.

@Passkes: Honestly someone completely new to 3D printing I would recommend a Halot resin printer, way fewer problems compared to FDM printing and is very easy to learn. If you follow the resin instructions are very straightforward and have better quality prints. And your home can't burn down if something goes wrong

@Leonard Lay: I'm going to go against the grain and recommend Halot One. FDM printers have a lot of settings to tweak. The resin printer is very easy. The only issue I have is that Halot Box is not a very easy-to-use slicer. Halot One has a small footprint so you're not going to make large prints but it does make very detailed prints.
