Fidget Rings have brought comfort to many around the world, and naturally, many people have created 3D models of them. I found and tested 8 free fidget rings on Creality Cloud, to determine the ultimate 3D printable fidget ring. I will be basing my conclusion on these variables:

1. How well it spins

2. Does it look like a ring?

3. What is the overall quality

4. Is it print in place or do you put it together, and does that have an effect on the overall performance of the ring?

5. Is it easily scalable/has multiple sizes?

We will not be comparing how long it takes to print because I printed all of these at the highest quality possible, meaning they all took forever.

So, let’s begin!

This ring comes in many different sizes, which is a huge plus, and does have my size. While it doesn’t spin perfectly, it does look a lot like a thin wedding band, making it appealing to some people. Overall it feels sturdy, and I would be comfortable wearing it around. It is a print in place ring, which may contribute to the fact it doesn’t spin as well as I hoped for. Overall, I give it a score of 7.3 out of 10.

While not looking like a regular ring, it is eye-catching and appealing with its geared design. It has also been well known that gears are great fidget toys. It spins very well, and is print in place, so this would be a great option for anyone looking for a great fidget toy, albeit not one you would probably wear in public. Overall, it feels sturdy and it does not feel like it will break. It is also very easily scalable. However, if you are not familiar with different ring sizes besides your own, it may be a little tricky to scale, as it only tells you it is a ring size of 7. I will give this a score of 7.5, but no higher, as it is not something I would wear about, and it is a bit bulky.

This fidget Ring is really nice. It spins better than any other fidget ring I’ve ever seen. It looks exactly like a regular ring, however, it might be a little bit thicker than most people may like. It is NOT print in place, which may contribute to its amazing spin. However, the overall quality is not great. When you put the three pieces of the ring together, it does not stay on tightly, and the ring will just fall apart in your pocket, and maybe even on your hand if you are not careful. While some glue would fix that right up, I am going solely based on their performance right off the printer. As far as scalability, I cannot say. There is no mention of what the ring size is, or the inner diameter, there is nothing like that. If I had to guess, I would say the ring size is 11.5. I will give this ring a 7 out of 10, as it does not stay together and there is no way to know what size it is. It would be lower, except I have never seen A fidget ring spin so well.

Honestly, I don’t have much good to say about this ring. There is no mention of what size the ring is (Although after printing it I would say maybe a 7), it doesn’t spin well unless you spin it just right, and it isn’t print in place. Also, if scaled to fit my finger, it would be WAY too bulky. I give this ring a 4.5 out of 10. Again, take this info as you like, you may have a different experience than me, and you may think it is great! This is just my opinion based on my experience.

We are now halfway through, and the rings seem to get worse and worse. There is again, not much good I can say about this ring. While for a fidget ring, it spins ok, this ring took over 4 times as long to print as the shortest printing ring in this review. FOUR TIMES AS LONG. I know I said I wouldn’t be considering time spent printing, but over 40 minutes to print a little fidget ring is ridiculous. And again, it only spins ok. For that long, I would want it to spin better than a high-quality fidget ring bought off Amazon. It also is insanely bulky. It does not look like it belongs on your finger. It should be easily scalable, and it is print in place. Overall the quality, not taking into account how long it took to print, is pretty good. Besides being way too bulky for a ring, it spins pretty well, and I would be happy with it. However, for the problems I mentioned above, I can’t give this ring higher than a 6.5 out of 10.

This ring is nothing special, it is print in place, a tiny bit bulky, but not horribly bulky, and feels pretty sturdy. It comes in a plethora of different sizes, which is a huge bonus. However, it doesn’t spin well at all. Every time I try to spin it, especially one-handed, it sticks, creates a horrible scratching noise, and then spins around about a 3rd of the ring. Spinning is the epiphany of what a fidget ring is supposed to be, and because it barely spins at all, I have to give this ring a 6. I can’t go any higher. And it also just got stuck on my finger…

I could talk about how it is fairly bulky or about how there is no way to tell what size it is, but I won’t. I won’t, because this is the only fidget ring that I will be reviewing today, that doesn’t spin. It is print in place, and for the life of me, I can’t get it unstuck. Maybe if I took a crowbar at it I could do it. But for that reason alone, this ring deserves a solid 2 stars. No higher.

Ok, I admit, I may be a little biased towards this ring because I designed it. In fact, I designed it because of me doing this review, and seeing how few high-quality rings there are on Creality Cloud. However, I will try to give it a fair and honest review. This is by far the most ring-looking ring on this list. It looks like it belongs on your finger. It also spins fairly well and comes in a smooth and textured version. However, it does not spin as well as some of the earlier rings on this list. It is NOT a print-in-place, which may not appeal to some people, but unlike earlier non-print-in-place rings, it stays together very well. It also is easily scalable and says on the model page what the inner diameter of the ring is. The overall quality is pretty good, and so I give this ring an 8 out of 10. I know it seems like I am being biased, but it truly is what I think. When I came to this conclusion, I had to make sure I wasn’t being biased, so I put the rings in front of a friend and did a blind test. He had never seen any of these rings before. He did, in fact, choose my ring as the overall best one. However, there are use cases at which any of these rings are the best, so here they are ranked based on use case:
