As I needed to print 8 of these filament stands I thought I'd do a test between my new K1 and my first printer purchase the trusty Max Neo. In the interests of fairness the Max Neo is heavily modified sporting the Creality E step direct drive extruder and the Spider ceramic hot end just to even things up.

The one on the left is from the K1 running at 300mm/s and took 4 and a half hours. The one on the right is from the Max Neo running at 100mm/s and took 12 and a half hours. Both printed in the same manufacturer PETG filament.

Neither used supports and the Max Neo really suffered because of this but with supports the print time would have been much longer.

In summery the K1 really does live up to all the expectations and has now printed 3 flawless parts in the time the Max Neo took to print 1 not so flawless part making me very happy with my purchase, Creality has excelled itself with the K1 and I can only see it getting better the more the community runs them and reports any issues of which I haven't had up to now other than the odd self inflicted error. (Note to self ensure all packaging inside printer is removed before starting it calibrating for the first time).

Another self inflicted error that I wish to pass on is that I noticed that the printer temperatures had changed from the ones I set when I sliced the file, hot end from 235 up to 265 and hot bed down from 80 to 70 so I altered them and lo and behold the next layer it stopped extruding although it took another 50 layers for me to notice. My conclusion to this is that the printer adjusts these settings to compensate for the speed it is printing as when I restarted the print without fiddling with any settings it printed perfectly so I now know its best to leave it alone to do its thing as its cleverer than me.
