This is a tutorial on how to apply a texture on a part with a modifier. There are other ways, displace modifier on blender and i came across tutorials for fusion 360 and solidworks. This method doesn't require a modelling software unless you want to create a custom stl of a texture.

The results will be something like the photo.

1 Import the part. We will use an stl of a simple disc.

2 Right click on the part and Add a modifier-->Load

3 Load the stl file of the texture. In my case is a simple brick texture file. You can make it with an svg and freecad or blender.

4 Position the texture file on the part.

5 Click on the modifier and switch to Object from Global. Now you're going to change the values for the slicing of the modifier.

6 First we will enable fuzzy skin -> All walls on the special mode Tab.

7 I use the value in the image. You can make tests to see what works better for you.

8 Then in the strenght tab the sparse infill direction must be changed to 135 degree.

9 You can proceed with the slice.

10 The part has been sliced with the texture.

You can experiment with settings and different parameters, I uploaded some stl file to apply texture on parts.
